Dear Northway Church,
This week we announced that our KID’s Director, Kelsie Hays, will be stepping out of her role. Here is a portion of the letter she sent to parents this week regarding her transition:
I want you to know what a dream this role has been for me. I have loved every moment of it and am so blessed that the Lord gave me this opportunity. However, I am writing with bittersweet emotions as I announce that God has called me to step down from the role of Kids Director here at Northway Church. This decision has not come easily but when God calls us, we are to walk in obedience. Let me be clear, I have LOVED every moment of serving alongside you and leading this team.
My husband, Eric and I still very much plan to stay at Northway and be invested in this church! This is our home and our family. God is calling me to a new season where I am able to put my family first and I’m very much looking forward to that. I will always be here for you and your children. I love them and will continue to love them as I plug into volunteering in new areas at Northway. I look forward to seeing them grow up and watching their relationships with Christ flourish. I promise to continue to be a part of that journey.
We are certainly saddened by this news. My family and many others have benefited greatly from Kelsie’s ministry. She’s had a lasting impact on all four of my children, and she will be tremendously missed.
However, we believe Eric and Kelsie have been faithful to listen to the Lord and are following His will for their lives. We are blessed that Kelsie will remain a part of the Northway family and are excited to see how God uses her in other roles in our ministry.
Her last day as Kid’s Director will be December 31, 2021. We will keep you posted on plans for our next steps in this ministry area. In the meantime, please take a moment to thank Kelsie for her service at Northway.
