This coming Sunday, August 7, we will begin a new series entitled, “Rule #1.” If you ever hear someone tell you, “This is Rule #1,” they want you to never forget and always live by whatever truth they have just shared. Of course, they may give you multiple “Rule #1’s,” proclaiming that numerous truths are all of the greatest importance.
While it is logically impossible to have more than one “Rule #1,” there are certain principles of life that are so important, each of them could legitimately claim the title of most important.
In this series, we will be looking at a number of “Rule #1’s” — these essential truths for our lives. I’m looking forward to starting this series with you on Sunday.
Also, please note that we have the opportunity to host the Mercer football team and their coaches this Sunday in our 10:30AM worship service. Head Coach Drew Cronic and his family have been attending Northway since moving to Macon. We are excited to welcome his staff and players to worship with us at Northway, and we will be hosting them for lunch following the service.
For our members and regular attenders, please note that our 10:30AM service will be at full capacity on Sunday. With this being “move up Sunday,” for our preschoolers, children, and students, we expect a larger than normal crowd. The addition of our Mercer guests will likely mean that we are at full capacity in our second worship service. If you are able to do so, please consider attending the 9AM worship service. Also, please feel free to use our overflow room on Sunday if you’re unable find room in our worship center.
