Learning social skills are very important for two year olds such as taking turns, following directions, and sitting in group time. Numbers, colors, letters, and shapes are taught along with units of study. Science and cultural awareness are also built into our classes.
Colors and shapes are reviewed. Opportunities are given to make comparisons by classifying, sorting, ordering, sequencing, counting, and number recognition. Beginning writing techniques are introduced with basic lines and circles which leads to the recognition and writing of their names along with other letters of the alphabet.
Opportunities are given for participation in activities geared to reading and math readiness. A phonetically based letter recognition program is used. Exposure is given to early science and geographical concepts.
