adults-groupWe are so glad you’re interested in the ministries that Northway has to offer for adults. There are several different ways for you to get plugged in; check them out below!

If you’d like to learn more about the church, we recommend you attend Discover Northway. Discover Northway is offered three times a year with childcare available. Dinner is served followed by a discussion led by our Lead Pastor. In the course of the evening, you will discover the elements that make Northway unique including our vision, purpose, beliefs, and ministries. As a result of attending, it is our hope that each person will identify a “next step” in their involvement at the church. By attending, participants are offered the opportunity to join the church though there is no obligation to do so.

Starting Point

Starting Point is a great way to begin your journey at Northway! It is a casual, conversational, small group environment offered on Sunday mornings. Over the course of 8 weeks, Starting Point will provide a clear and concise overview of the entire Bible and reveal how it is linked from Genesis to Revelation. In addition, the study discusses many of those questions we all have about God and faith such as:

  • Is the creation account literal?
  • Don’t all religions lead to God?
  • Why do bad things happen to good people?

Whether you are new to the church scene or have been in church your entire life, you’ll benefit from Starting Point!

If you have any questions or would like to sign up for the next session of Starting Point, call the church office at 478-476-1971 or e-mail

Have you ever wondered “How can I be used by God to make a difference in the world? How can I determine the best place for me to serve?” Consider taking PLACE. The idea behind PLACE is to assist you in finding an area to serve that suits your personality, spiritual gifts, and temperament. Finding your ‘fit’ makes you more passionate about your role, rather than feeling like you are just filling a position.

PLACE, an eight-week class held at Northway, is a Bible-based, self-discovery process to assist individuals in finding their ideal place of service. It is offered on Sunday mornings throughout the year. Topics of the eight-week class are:

  • Personality Discovery
  • Learning Spiritual Gifts
  • Abilities Awareness
  • Connecting Passion to Ministry
  • Experiences of Life

In addition, participants will observe the many different ministry options available and serve one Sunday morning in an area of their choosing.

Home Teams are small groups of 10-15 people that meet together during the week at a time and place of their own choosing to study the Bible, grow, and have fun meeting new people. Click here to get the latest information on Home Teams!

Northway organizes Home Teams in a semester system forming groups in August for the fall months, January for the winter and spring months, and in May for a summer mini-mester. Groups are offered for adults in every age group and stage of life.

Northway offers childcare at the church on Sunday and Wednesday evenings. Groups may meet at the church or drop off children at church and meet at a nearby home. We also offer a Childcare Reimbursement Plan for those that meet at other times. Each couple or group is to arrange their own childcare, pay the market rate, and then submit a form to the church for a pre-set reimbursement rate.
